The Abilene Summer Music Festival Orchestra Camp is dedicated to enriching the quality of life in West Texas by providing orchestra and chamber concerts of great music, and providing educational opportunities for young musicians through advanced instruction in a supportive environment. A Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in music general studies or with an emphasis in Music Business is also offered for those students interested in greater concentration in liberal arts.
In addition, the School of Music provides opportunities for creative, culturally enriching experiences for the university community. Emphasis is on academic excellence, creativity, and aesthetic and spiritual growth.
