Colleges & Schools
Hardin-Simmons University is divided into 7 colleges or schools, as well as our seminary, each offering a variety of degree programs. Together they offer more than 65 undergraduate majors, minors, or concentrations, and more than 25 graduate degrees, all built upon a liberal arts academic foundation.
College of Fine Arts
Our College of Fine Arts encompasses Art, Music, and Theatre programs. Our degree programs in art, music, and theatre offer a wide array of opportunities, experiences, and career paths for students interested in pursuing the visual and performing arts.
College of Human Sciences and Educational Studies
Our College of Human Sciences and Educational Studies prepares students to become educators. We are committed to enhancing people’s lives through the study of health and well-being, multidisciplinary education, science, technology, and leadership.
Cynthia Ann Parker College of Liberal Arts
Our programs and courses in the Cynthia Ann Parker College of Liberal Arts are designed to provide a liberal arts education to students of all majors across the university. Much of the Foundational Curriculum, which consists of courses required for every undergraduate degree, is provided through this college.
Holland School of Sciences and Mathematics
The Holland School of Sciences and Mathematics offers seventeen undergraduate degree programs in fields including Biology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Environmental Science, Geological Sciences, Mathematics, and Physics. Our school offers three master degree programs in Environmental Management, Mathematics, and Physician Assistant Studies. We also offer one doctoral program in Physical Therapy.
Kelley College of Business
Kelley College of Business offers eight undergraduate degree programs in fields including Accounting, Economics, Finance, and Marketing. Our college also offers five different business-oriented master degree programs.
Logsdon School of Theology
Logsdon offers undergraduate majors in Biblical Studies, Religion, and Ministry. These programs prepare you to find your calling, grow in Christ, and engage the world through opportunities in missions, local church ministry, social justice, and other creative avenues of serving Christ.
Logsdon Seminary equips students who, in response to God’s call, seek the necessary academic and spiritual foundations for a lifetime of servant leadership in the Kingdom of God. Logsdon Seminary also has five campus locations around Texas, in addition to the primary location at HSU in Abilene.
Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing
The Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing is a consortium of Hardin-Simmons University and McMurry University. At Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing, you will learn the art, science, and spirit of this honorable profession.
