First Year Experience
One thing that Hardin-Simmons prides itself on is the First Year Experience for all of our new students on campus. It is of utmost importance to welcome all of our new Cowgirls and Cowboys to campus and to do our part to make your transition to the 40 acres comfortable and for HSU to feel like home.
We invite all of our First Year students to take part in Stampede Week, which is our New Student Orientation. If you would like to learn more about Stampede Week click this link:
Once Stampede is over and classes begin, we emphasize the importance of creating a welcoming environment to campus through not only our Welcome Back Week events but also through our First Year Mentorship program. Each new student is paired with a First Year Mentor who will walk with them throughout their first year to help them get plugged in on campus, answer questions about what is it like to be a student at HSU and to assist them with anything they might need throughout their first year.
