Chapel Schedule

Chapel services are held on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 am in the Behrens Auditorium throughout the fall and spring semesters. Chapel services are also streamed live and past services can be viewed on the HSU YouTube Channel.

Rev., Dr. Jaime Clark-Soles
Rev., Dr. Jaime Clark-Soles is Associate Professor of New Testament at Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. Her newest book is Engaging the Word: The New Testament and the Christian Believer. Her specialties include: •Evil, Suffering, Death, and Afterlife in the New Testament •The Use of Scripture in Moral Debate •The Johannine Literature She is the author of numerous essays both in print and online resources, including Workingpreacher.org and HuffingtonPost.com. Dr. Clark-Soles also appears in the recently released movie Hellbound? See more about it at. Dr. Clark-Soles enjoys speaking widely and writing for both academic and popular audiences. She “has Bible, will travel.” Her current research involves the intersection of Disability Studies and the interpretation of the Bible. In 2010 she was awarded the Ford Senior Research Fellowship at SMU. As an ordained minister, Rev. Clark-Soles has served in both parish and hospice settings.
