Homecoming 2021 t-shirtHomecoming Registration is open! Use the links below to register for all Homecoming events and/or to purchase football tickets. With the online ticketing system used by athletics, your purchase of football tickets is separate from your Homecoming registration.

Reserve your tickets early!  Online registration will close on Friday, Oct. 15 at 12 noon.  Tickets can be purchased onsite Friday, Oct. 22, and Saturday, Oct. 23, during Registration in Moody Center.

Homecoming Schedule | Oct. 21-24, 2021

6:30 p.m. Alumni Awards Banquet (Johnson Building, $27) Join us as we celebrate the 2021 recipients of the Keeter Alumni Service Award, Distinguished Alumni Awards, and Outstanding Young Alumni Awards.

12 – 7 p.m. Registration (Moody and Homecoming Festival) Register & receive your Homecoming Schedule, tickets, & nametag. Purchase tickets for upcoming events.

5 – 9 p.m. Friday Night Festival (Sid Richardson Lawn) Join us for food trucks (pay-as-you-go), inflatables, carnival games, and more. Homecoming Registration open from 5-7 p.m.

6 p.m. All-School SING (Behrens Auditorium, $5 for students/$15 otherwise) Box Office at 5:30. All seating is general admission.

6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Athletics Hall of Fame Dinner (Johnson Building, $25) Celebrate the accomplishments of HSU athletes.

8:15 p.m. Pep Rally and Fireworks (Sid Richardson Lawn) Come join the HSU Cheerleaders, Cowboy Band, Spurs and Hoss as they gather the crowd before the fireworks begin. Homecoming Court will be presented.

9 – 10:30 p.m. Late Night Breakfast (parking lot behind Abilene Hall) A twist on the popular Pancake Study Break, where the HSU Police will be serving purple pancakes.

7:30 a.m. – 9 p.m. Homecoming Headquarters will be open to answer any questions, help collect lost & found items, and offer any support you may require during the weekend. **closed from 11:30 – 3:30 p.m.

7:30 – 8:30 a.m. ROTC/Military Veterans Informal Breakfast (Moody Center, Cafeteria, $8)

7:30 – 11:30 a.m. Registration (Moody Student Center) Register & receive your Homecoming Schedule, tickets, & nametag. Purchase tickets for upcoming events. Pre-purchased tickets not picked up prior to event will be moved to will-call.

8:30 – 9:30 Dept. of Communication Sciences & Disorders Reception (Caldwell Hall, 3rd floor) Inviting all former and future program graduates to visit. Coffee and pastries will be served.

8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Holland School of Sciences and Mathematics Coffee (Sid Richardson, Foyer) Faculty & current students look forward to sharing about the school over refreshments with alumni, friends, & prospects.

9 – 10 a.m. Parents-Only Breakfast (Moody 108, $5) Parents of current HSU students join us for breakfast. Register online for a nametag and to let us know you’re coming.

9 – 10 a.m. LinkedIn Leadership Advisory Boards Meeting (Burroughs Conference Rm) Members of all LinkedIn Leadership Advisory Boards are invited to attend this meeting.  Zoom will be available for those unable to attend in person.)

9:30 a.m. Prospective Student Preview (varies) Preview starts in the Dyess Welcome Center (Hunter Hall) and concludes with the HSU Football Game (Shelton Stadium)

9:30 – 11:30 a.m.  HSU Kids Club (Sid Richardson Lawn) Crafts & Games • Face Painting & balloon animals, and yard games • White Horse Rides (9:45-10:45) • HSU Spurs • HSU Cheerleaders & Mascot.

10 a.m. JG & Billie Martin Apartment Dedication Join the HSU Family as we dedicate the newly constructed apartment building in honor of JG & Billie Martin.

10:15 – 11:15 a.m. “Chismeando” de HSU (Location TBD) Join the HSU Hispanic Assembly for conversation (in English or Spanish) & fellowship with Hispanic alumni & friends. Scholarship recipients will be recognized.

11:00-11:30 a.m. Choral Showcase Concert (Woodward-Dellis)

11 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. HSU Cafeteria (Moody Cafeteria, $10 adults, $5 kids 4-10) The Cafeteria offers an all you can eat variety of foods in a calm, air-conditioned atmosphere.

11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. HSU BBQ Tailgate (Parking lot Behind Abilene Hall, $10 adults, $5 kids 4-10, students FREE with valid ID) Come enjoy the HSU spirit squads, Cowboy Band, and the excitement of pre-game.

11:30 a.m.  Football Pre-Game Festivities (Shelton Stadium)

Alumni Check-In (Fletcher Fitness Center Patio) Come “check-in” and get your free HSU Alumni swag. Alumni Check-in occurs everyone home game (30 minutes prior to kick-off – halftime).

Kids Zone (Fletcher Fitness Center) for children ages 2 and up. Bring your kids over to the Fletcher Fitness Center and let them run and play on our indoor soccer field.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

1 p.m.  Football: HSU Cowboys vs. Southwestern (Shelton Stadium, $5, $8, $10) During halftime we will crown Homecoming King and Queen and recognize Coach Jimmie Keeling with the unveiling of a bronze statue in his likeness.

5 – 7 p.m. Art Department Alumni & Friends Reception (Frost Center, Ira M. Taylor Memorial Gallery)

Reunion Dinners
Meals are $15. A special invitation is extended to faculty, staff, and other friends.  Classmates from surrounding years are welcome! Dinner locations posted at Registration and Homecoming Headquarters.

6-8 p.m. Golden Lariat Society (Location TBD) For all alumni and exes who have celebrated their 50th class reunion!

6-8 p.m. 40 Year – Classes of 1980 and 1981

6-8 p.m. 20 Year – Classes of 2000 and 2001

6-8 p.m. 10 Year – Classes of 2010 and 2011

6-8 p.m. Hispanic Alumni Dinner (Location TBD, $10) Come join us for dinner, fellowship, and entertainment.
