Homecoming 2026 | Date: October 15-18, 2026

Homecoming is a wonderful time to come back to campus and relive all of your HSU memories. We hope you make plans to join us.

You will be able to purchase tickets for most events onsite during the following days and times in Moody Center.

T-shirts are available for all who register by September 21, 2026!

These are the times that tickets and t-shirts will also be available for pick up.

Friday, October 16, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

6:30 p.m. Alumni Awards Banquet (Johnson Building) Join us as we celebrate the 2026 recipients of the Keeter Alumni Service Award and Distinguished Alumni Awards.

1:00 – 7:00 p.m. Registration (Moody Student Center) Pick up your t-shirt, tickets, and nametags! If you still need to purchase tickets for paid events you can do that too. Pre-purchased tickets not picked up prior to the event will be moved to will-call.

5:00-9:00 p.m. Friday Night Festival (Newman-Richardson Lawn) Join us for food trucks (pay-as-you-go), inflatables, yard games, face painting, balloon animals, and more.

5:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. – Alumni Vendor Market (Newman-Richardson Lawn) Come support alumni businesses at our vendor market. We have handmade leather products, a digital fundraising consultant for non – profits, a boutique with handmade products, cookies, travel agent, and handmade wooden items.

6:00-7:15 p.m. Alumni Choir Rehearsal (Choral Suite-Hemphill Building) Rehearsal for the alumni choir will meet in the Choral Suite in the Hemphill building. RSVP for the alumni choir here.

6:30 p.m. – Cheerleader Reunion: Join us at the Alumni Wall to reunite with current and former HSU Cheerleaders!

6:30-8:30 p.m. Athletics Hall of Fame Dinner (Johnson Building) Celebrate the accomplishments of four former HSU athletes.

6:30-8:15 p.m. Live Music (Newman-Richardson Lawn) Come hear live music while you enjoy dinner and fellowship with fellow alumni and friends.

6:30-8:15 p.m. HSU Trivia Night (Newman-Richardson Room 100) Come play HSU trivia for a chance to win prizes and learn something new about HSU. Make your teams and come show off your HSU knowledge!

8:15 p.m. Pep Rally and Fireworks (Newman-Richardson Lawn) Come join the HSU Cheerleaders, Cowboy Band, Spurs and Hoss as they gather the crowd before the fireworks begin. Homecoming Court will be presented.

9:00-10:00 p.m. Late Night Breakfast (Bridges Courtyard in front of Richardson Library) A twist on the popular Pancake Study Break, where purple pancakes will be served.

7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Registration (Moody Student Center Lobby) Pick up your t-shirt, tickets, and nametags! If you still need to purchase tickets for paid events you can do that too. Pre-purchased tickets not picked up prior to the event will be moved to will-call.

7:30-8:30 a.m. ROTC/Military Veterans Informal Breakfast (Moody Center, Cafeteria)

8:00-9:00 a.m. School of Music Foundation Meeting (Hemphill 211)

9:00-10:00 a.m. Cowboy Band Foundation Coffee and Meeting (Cowboy Band Hall). Come fellowship over coffee from 9:00-9:30 a.m. Meeting will be held from 9:30-10:00 a.m.

9:00-10:00 a.m. Parents-Only Breakfast (Moody Center, Cafeteria) Parents of current HSU students join the staff of our Student Life Department for breakfast.

9:00-11:00 a.m. HSU Roundtable Ornament Sales and SpeakLife Table (Moody Foyer) Come pick up your 2025 ornament (previous years available for purchase) and see more about the current SpeakLife campaign and how you can support HSU.

9:00 HSU Reunion Years Group Photos (Pond on Anderson Lawn) Come see who is here from your graduation class and take a group photo! A great time to meet one another and spend the rest of the day on campus at other events!

Various Academic Building Tours (Campus Buildings) Venture around campus to visit with deans, faculty, and students and learn about the academic programs in each space. Check back for a list of buildings and programs.

9:30-10:30 a.m. Student Organization Reunions (Newman-Richardson Lawn) Join current club members to catch up with one another and on club happenings.

9:30 a.m. Prospective Student Preview (varies) Preview starts in the Dyess Welcome Center and concludes with the HSU Football Game (Shelton Stadium)

9:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. HSU Kids Corral (Newman-Richardson Lawn) Crafts and Games – Petting Zoo – White Horse Rides (9:45 – 10:45) – HSU Cheerleaders, Spurs, and Hoss. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

10:00a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Richardson Library Open

10:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. “Chismeando” de HSU Brunch (Moody Center 108) Join the HSU Hispanic Assembly for conversation (in English or Spanish) and fellowship with Hispanic alumni and friends. Scholarship recipients will be recognized.

11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Alumni Choir Concert (Woodward-Dellis Recital Hall)

Lunch Meal Choices: Skip the long restaurant lines!  Keep your parking spot!

11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. HSU Cafeteria (Moody Cafeteria, Adults -$15, Children (5-17) – $8) The Cafeteria offers an all you can eat variety of foods in a calm, air-conditioned atmosphere.

11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. HSU Tailgate (Bridges Courtyard in front of Richardson Library, Adults -$15, Children (5-17) – $8) Come enjoy the HSU spirit squads, Cowboy Band, and the excitement of pre-game. HSU students can use their meal plan.

11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. HSU DPT Reunion at Tailgate (Bridges Courtyard in front of Richardson Library, Adults -$15, Children (5-17) – $8) All Doctor of Physical Therapy alumni are invited to join us at the tailgate with dedicated tables for you and your family to fellowship with of the DPT graduates.

12:30 p.m. Football Pre-Game Festivities (Shelton Stadium) Come celebrate the Keeter Alumni Service Award Recipient, Distinguished Alumni Award, and Athletics Hall of Fame Recipients prior to kickoff!

Alumni Check-In (Fletcher Fitness Center Patio) Come “check-in” and get your free HSU Alumni swag. Alumni Check-in occurs every home game (30 minutes prior to kick-off through halftime).

Kids Zone (Fletcher Fitness Center) for children ages 2 and up. Bring your kids over to the Fletcher Fitness Center and let them run and play on our indoor soccer field. Children must be accompanied by an adult. 

1:00 p.m. Football Game: HSU Cowboys vs. ETBU Tigers (Shelton Stadium) During halftime, we will crown our University Queen and King.

 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Late Registration and T-shirt Pick-Up (Moody Center Lobby)

 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Alumni and Friend Reception at the Annual Alumni Art Show (Frost Center, Ira M. Taylor Memorial Gallery)

 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Golden Lariat Society Reunion Dinner (Connally Missions Center) For all alumni and exes who have celebrated their 50th class reunion! (Ticket required)

5:00 p.m. Women’s Soccer Game (HSU Grape Street Soccer Complex) Join us as we cheer on our HSU Cowgirls as they go head-to-head with the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

7:00 p.m. All-School SING! (Behrens Chapel Auditorium) Box Office opens at 6:30 p.m. for ticket purchase. All seating is general admission. Come see our talented students perform shows they have worked on for several weeks!

7:30 p.m. Men’s Soccer Game (HSU Grape Street Soccer Complex) Join us as we cheer on our HSU Cowboys as they take on the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

9:30-10:15 a.m. HSU Family Worship Service (Logsdon Chapel) Before returning home, join in a time of refreshment, reflection, music & inspiration presented by members of the HSU Family. A light breakfast and coffee will be provided following the service.
