The HSU Online Certification Course is designed to equip you to develop an online pedagogy to effectively teach online. In the training, you will experience online learning from the perspective of a student, examine online teaching behaviors, best practices, course design, social presence, faith integration as well as basic and advanced online teaching and course design principles.
Certification is a requirement to teach online at Hardin-Simmons and completion of this course will allow you to design and teach online courses of excellence on behalf of HSU.

The course is two weeks long.
Yes, there will be an online webinar that you can attend live (recommended) or can watch later if unable to attend at the time of the live webinar. The rest of the course can be accomplished at your own pace. However, there will be assignments due at certain times/dates throughout the course.
There is approximately 4-6 hours per week of time required to complete the weekly objectives.
Yes, there are two textbooks and you can view those on the syllabus.
