CLEP

The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is designed to evaluate atypical educational experiences. Students who have never enrolled for any college credit and who score at or above indicated scores may earn credit through the General and/or Subject Examinations.
(Note: Enrollment in the equivalent class prevents the student from attempting credit by examination in the class.)

Cost: $92 or $102
$77 payable to CLEP by credit card (the preferred method) or by check
$15 or $25 payable to HSU by check or cash ($25 for English exams)

Dates of testing: Mondays through Fridays starting at either 8:30am or 1:30pm. Student must contact the office at least two days prior to schedule the exam.

Use of the following is prohibited:

  • Calculator
  • Calculator watches
  • Dictionaries, book, pamphlets
  • Any paper except what is provided by HSU
  • Slice rules, protractors, compasses, rulers
  • Highlighter pens and/or colored pencils
  • Alarm wristwatches
  • Cellular phones
  • Listening devices
  • Laptop computers
  • Hats
  • Book packs
  • Food or drink
