    NFLP Loan Disbursements

    Promissory Notes

    The NFLP recipient must agree to the terms and conditions of the NFLP Loan as specified in the Promissory Notes signed by the student. The student must be enrolled full-time for a minimum of 2 terms/semesters per academic year and complete the nursing education program.

    Rights & Responsibilities

    The Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, Loan Application, and Promissory Note must be completed and returned to the Financial Aid office. Completion of these forms signifies the student’s acceptance of the NFLP loan.

    Nurse Faculty Loan Exit Interviews

    The Nurse Faculty Loan Program requires that all recipients attend an exit interview before graduating, leaving the University, or attending less than half-time for the semester enrolled. During the interview session the student will be informed of their rights and responsibilities which include the following:

    • Grace Period
    • Deferments and how they work
    • Cancellation priveleges and how they work

    Students are notified of exit interviews by mail or email. If a student fails to complete the exit interview process, a hold is placed on the student’s transcript and/or diploma until we have received all the proper paperwork required to meet federal regulations.
