We are a team of passionate creative designers, photographers, videographers, project managers, and communication experts who desire to share the vision of what God is doing at HSU with the world. The Office of University Marketing is organized into five teams to help HSU develop the products and services we need to market our beloved university:
Our University Marketing Teams
The Marketing & Creative Services team leads HSU’s strategic marketing and university branding efforts, including the development of all marketing materials and publications with special emphasis on maintaining consistent messaging and visual appeal across the university. The Marketing & Creative Services team is also responsible for assisting internal constituents with identification and segmentation of key audiences, formation of message, appropriate selection of communication channels, and measurement of communication effectiveness.
The Marketing & Creative Services team is led by Jacob Brandt, Director for University Marketing.
A key initiative of this team is the management of the university’s brand and identity, including establishment of standards, enforcement of trademarks, and monitoring of use, are included in the services provided to the university. Join us in taking pride in our HSU brand!

The Communications & Content Strategy leads HSU’s efforts in the development, selection, and use of the most engaging content for use across our various owned marketing and communications platforms. Additionally, this team reports on news and develops feature stories on Hardin-Simmons University people, programs, and impact in order to generate earned media placement. This team is also responsible for the editorial production of the Range Rider university magazine.

The Digital Marketing team leads the official online presence of Hardin-Simmons University including its website, social media platforms, digital advertising, and electronic campus messaging. As a primary communication channel with students and external audiences, the digital marketing team seeks deep collaboration and integration with internal constituents in developing and implementing messages which utilize the HSU website and social media.
The Digital Marketing team is led by Tim Wagner, Digital Marketing Manager.

The Visual Media team provides leadership in developing the most visually engaging video and photography content for use across all of HSU’s marketing and communication channels. This team seeks to share compelling stories that communicate powerful messages and ideas to our target audiences.

The Media Services team provides professional technology solutions for HSU faculty, staff, and departments in order to produce high-quality live events, broadcast events, classroom content/delivery and professional development by following the principles of listening, designing, and producing.
