Upcoming HSU Alumni Events

The Alumni Engagement Office plans a variety of events throughout the year to bring HSU Alumni and friends together.  As your schedule permits, we hope you will register to join us for the events that apply to you. Pre-registration is required for most events!

HSU is coming to a city near you! Connect with HSU alumni, staff, and friends over dinner. At each gathering, there will be a short program which will include an update from HSU coaches, academic deans, and or faculty/staff members. Check out page 21 in the most recent Range Rider to hear testimonials of alumni and friends that have come to events in the past by clicking HERE! 

  • Thursday, July 9, 2026 Rockwall Family Gathering | Come connect with other HSU alumni and friends over dinner at Luigi’s Italian Cafe at 6:30 p.m. We will have a sweet time of fellowship. Dinner will be $20 per adult, and $10 per child! Click HERE to RSVP! The menu includes several Italian options to choose from, a salad, bread, and a non-alcoholic beverage. There are gluten free pasta options available as well.
  • Friday, July 10, 2026 Flower Mound Cowboy Coffee Break | Join us for a free drink and a snack on Friday, July 10 at Cerulean Blue Coffee House and connect with the HSU family! All HSU family, friends, alumni, students, and parents are welcome! We will be there from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Click HERE to let us know you are coming, so we can bring you free HSU swag!
  • Friday, July 10, 2026 | HSU Night at the Texas Rangers vs Houston Astros | The first pitch will be thrown at 7:05 p.m. All HSU friends, family, alumni, students and parents are welcome to come to the game! All tickets purchased are in the Sky Porch area. Click HERE to purchase tickets! 
  • Saturday, July 11, 2026 Weatherford Family Ice Cream Hangout | Join us at MELT Ice Creams in Willow Park for a fun afternoon of come-and-go fellowship and FREE ice cream. The event will be from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Click HERE to let us know you are coming, so we can bring you free HSU swag!
  • Friday, July 17, 2026 Longview Family Ice Cream Hangout | Join us at Wild Honey Creamery for a fun evening of come-and-go fellowship and FREE ice cream. The event will be from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Click HERE to let us know you are coming, so we can bring you free HSU swag!
  • Saturday, July 18, 2026 Tyler Family Gathering Brunch | Connect with HSU alumni, staff, students, parents, and friends over breakfast at Happy’s Fish House at 9:30 a.m. There will be plenty of time to get to know one another, and hear an university update. Adults and kids are invited! The menu will include their full menu option which you can view HERE. Adults tickets are $15 and children (newborn through 17) are FREE. Click HERE to RSVP. 
  • Tuesday, July 28, 2026 | HSU Night at the Amarillo Sod Poodles | The first pitch will be thrown at 7:05 p.m. as the Sod Poodles take on the San Antonio Missions. All HSU friends, family, alumni, students, and parents are welcome to come to the game! All tickets purchased include dinner which will be from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Click HERE to purchase tickets! Menu includes burgers, chips, hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans, cookies and assorted Pepsi products and water. Children 2 and under are free and do not require a ticket.
  • Thursday, July 30, 2026 | Lubbock Family Gathering Dinner | Connect with HSU alumni, staff, students, parents, and friends over dinner. There will be plenty of time to get to know one another, and a university update. Adults and kids are invited! The menu includes a salad, an option of grilled chicken, grilled salmon, or 3 Meat BBQ, and the choice of a baked potato or fries. The children’s menu options are steak, bbq, grilled chicken, chicken strips, grilled cheese, or a hot dog. Click HERE to RSVP! 
  • Friday, July 31, 2026 | HSU Night at the Midland RockHounds | Join us for a fun night at the ballpark! Gates open at 5:45 p.m., and your ticket includes an all-you-can-eat picnic meal from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The first pitch will be thrown at 7:00 p.m. Tickets will be available for pickup at the picnic check-in tent at the main entrance. The menu includes all your favorite ballpark classics, hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chips, popcorn, and drinks. We have also included ice cream for each person. Adult tickets are $27 per person, and children (3-17) are $15 each. Parking on site is free! Click HERE to purchase tickets!
