POSITION: Statistical Clerk and Liaison to the Registrar (Non-Exempt)

LOCATION:  Abilene, TX

START DATE:  As soon as possible

SUPERVISOR: Dean of Nursing

HSU CHRISTIAN STANDARD REQUIREMENT FOR EMPLOYMENT -  Candidate must profess a Christian Faith and commitment to Jesus Christ, maintain an active church involvement, and hold the Old Testament and New Testament to be sacred scriptures.

SCOPE : Compiles and computes data for statistical studies, meetings, presentations, Texas board of nursing and national accreditors' requirements utilizing appropriate tools and databases.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This job is sedentary in nature. Must be able to sit for long periods of time while performing office functions. Occasional light lifting may be required.

TRAVEL/TIME REQUIREMENTS: None

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   

1. LVN/LPN/ADN degree, health related experience preferred

2. Technical competence

3. Experience in advising and/or counseling students

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

Collects, organizes and summarizes statistical data from appropriate sources.

Proficient in various software and databases.

Collects and reconciles marketing/advertising data (hits, number of students referred, etc.).

Assess marketing/advertisement activities to evaluate return on investment ROI.

In collaboration with the Registrar, Dean and/or Associate Dean conducts research and gather source materials for statistical analyses.

In collaboration with the Registrar participates in PHSSN/Universities registration, admission and advising. 

Prepare and design questionnaires and surveys to compile and collect data for statistical analysis. 

Use appropriate statistical tools to analyze and verify the authenticity of data collected.

Compile statistical reports, charts, graphs or documentation that describes and interprets the findings of analyses.

In collaboration with the Dean and/or Associate Dean interview employees, customers, or others to collect information.

Catalogue data and related information into databases or software programs.

Maintains and accurately files documents or records utilizing up to date databases and/or software programs.

In collaboration with the Registrar, Dean and/or Associate Dean participate in the publication of data or information.

Organize paperwork, such as survey forms or reports, for distribution or analysis.

Check survey responses for errors.

Compile and summarize survey and evaluation data.

Ensures accuracy of all registration, retention and enrollment data.

Participate in data collection and analysis of course evaluations, exam and other data as required.

Develop data analysis or data management procedures.

Code data or other information prior to computer entry, using developed and approved lists of codes.

Distribute surveys, information, materials or documentation as directed.

Skills  

The applicant should be highly organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Reliability and attention to detail are also important traits.

Ability to working in a supportive role in an administrative setting.

Using computer programs, such as word processors, spreadsheet programs, and database systems.

Excellent customer service experience.
