Campus Christmas Party

December 23, 2021 Sarah Harbison

Hardin-Simmons’ Christmas party is one of the most anticipated and celebrated events on campus each year. On December 2, students, faculty, staff, and family came together to celebrate the holiday season as one large HSU family.

The special night began with a meal reminiscent of a family Christmas dinner with families and friends gathered around the cafeteria. The party continued on Anderson Lawn where all saw the beauty of the campus and the talent of students.

The evening highlighted the talents of many fine arts students including The World-Famous Cowboy Band, Concert Band, HSU Choir, and HSU Theatre students. Dr. John Davis shared the Christmas story, reminding all of the hope found in Christ.

After the joyful story and a prayer, HSU’s original pep squad, the Cowgirls, joined the stage to bring light to the campus. The crowd joined in on the countdown and, finally, the campus began to glow with the thousands of lights adorning the trees, buildings, and reflection pond.

Santa closed the magical event with the famous Six White Horses pulling his sleigh and wished everyone a “Merry Christmas!”

From our HSU Family to yours, Merry Christmas!
