The show was directed by Samantha Eberle and co-directed by Danielle Sauls, Jordan Benson, and Halie Graeter. Each SING! performer spent countless hours making the show the masterpiece that it was. The directors began the process of choreographing, writing, picking musical pieces, and planning creative elements back in August. Members began practicing the second week of the semester in two-hour practices, four times a week.

When the group hit the stage, their preparation was obvious. Over 64 hours were invested in rehearsing, which created a performance that left the audience speechless.

The audience and directors anxiously awaited to hear the winner of the 2021 SING! and when Sigma Alpha and Theta Alpha Zeta were announced, the crowd erupted in applause and cheers.

Sigma Alpha and Theta Alpha Zeta win!

The group celebrated when their eyes saw the first-place trophy in their director’s hands. The group shared a joyful moment comprising of tears, hugs, and excited jumping, as their hard work had paid off. Eberle described this blur of a moment by saying, “There is something so special about working endlessly and tirelessly for something, and seeing the end result be so worth it. It was truly the happiest moment, definitely in my top three moments being a student at HSU!”

Congratulations Sigma Alpha and Theta Alpha Zeta!
