Are you curious about the fundamental principles that govern our universe? Physics explores those principles, from the tiniest subatomic particles to the vast expanse of galaxies. With a physics minor, you’ll gain insights into the fundamental forces shaping our world and explore the mysteries of space, time, matter, and energy. You’ll develop a foundation in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning—skills that are transferable to many fields, making you a more versatile and competitive candidate in your major area of study.
A minor in physics provides a student with a fundamental understanding of universal physical laws regarding space, time, energy, and matter. Our minor can help students understand foundational physical principles underlying their major area of study.
All HSU students are eligible for the program.
Our majors’ classes and labs maintain a student to professor ratio below 8:1. Students have the opportunity for hands-on research directly with a Professor.
Each faculty member has a Ph.D. in their area of teaching specialty.
Our minor can help students understand foundational principles behind their major area of study like biology, chemistry, computer science, and other technical fields.
