Master of Athletic Training Program Earns Accreditation

The Master of Athletic Training program at Hardin-Simmons University is now accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).

Graduates of HSU’s M.A.T. program are eligible to take the Board of Certification, Inc. examination; passing the BOC examination makes graduates eligible for an athletic training practice credential in the 49 states that regulate athletic training, making work across the country accessible.

There are 16 master’s programs in the state of Texas and 261 in the country that are accredited by CAATE. HSU is the only professional M.A.T. program using online coursework combined with six on-campus laboratory sessions & clinical experience to provide a flexible education program for students, making it ideal for working professionals or those unable to move to Abilene.
