Winter Preview became a day to remember for Kelsie Roberts when she learned she had won HSU’s “Lights. Camera. Free Ride!” video contest. Her video submission earned her free tuition, room, and meals for her freshman year.

A senior at Krum High School, Kelsie accepted the check for $37,070 surrounded by her family. Her video explained how HSU’s “Education Enlightened by Faith” impacted her decision to attend HSU.

“God’s light is God’s people. The students at Hardin-Simmons are the light,” Kelsie said. “At HSU, I will be a part of the light of this world, honoring his name and serving his people.”
