Hardin-Simmons Announces $40,000 Scholarship Opportunity to Big Country Students
The Big Country Scholarship is a total of $40,000 toward tuition to Hardin-Simmons University.
Abilene, TX (Dec. 3, 2014) Hardin-Simmons University held a press conference to announce a new scholarship that significantly impacts how we reach students of the Big Country.
Starting in the Fall of 2015, incoming Freshman that live in or have graduated from public or private high schools or homeschools in the Big Country will be eligible to receive a $40,000 scholarship ($10,000/year for 4 years) at HSU! Further demonstrating their commitment to affordable private Christian higher education.
University President, Dr. Lanny Hall, along with two members of the Administrative Council, unveiled the scholarship and explained the other ways that Hardin-Simmons offers an affordable private Christian education.
In addition to providing exceptional scholarships, the HSU Commitment to FREEZE YOUR TUITION means your scholarship pays the same percentage of tuition every year. No more annual tuition increases! That’s a $7,000 savings over four years!
The Big Country Scholarship is an opportunity for students living in the Big Country to receive a quality education from HSU at a discount of 41% annually.
“The Abilene Big Country Scholarship allows us to reach a greater variety of students who perhaps never even considered attending HSU because they didn’t think private, Christian higher education was possible for them.” Said Vicki House, Vice President for Enrollment Management.
