As classes begin for the spring semester, Hardin-Simmons University is pleased to report an increase in enrollment. Fifty-nine new incoming students enrolled for the Spring 2018, bringing our total to 2,091. This represents a 5% increase from last year’s enrollment.

At 1,580, undergraduate student enrollment is up 1.9%. Graduate students have also seen an impressive increase of 16.4% with 511 students enrolled.

Within the new student counts for spring, HSU welcomed ten new international students representing Italy, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, Panama, Rwanda, and Saudi Arabia.

Interim Provost Dr. Chris McNair attributes the increase to the hard work of the Enrollment Services staff.

“We are very excited at Hardin-Simmons to see both our undergraduate and graduate enrollment continue to increase,” he said. “Under the diligent leadership of our Vice President for Enrollment Management, Mrs. Vicki House, and her team of recruiters, HSU is committed to providing the best education possible to all of our students.”
