Dr. Ruot, professor of Exercise Science/Human Performance and Director of the Human Performance Lab, serves as Program Director of HSU’s Exercise Science program and has recognition with the NSCA for Strength & Conditioning.

He received an Ed.D in Kinesiology and Health Promotion with emphasis in Exercise Science from the University of Kentucky and holds the CSCS,*D from the NSCA.

Dr. Ruot’s experience at the college level includes teaching, research, administration, coaching, and strength and conditioning. His area of teaching is in the Sport and Exercise Sciences at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

He has been recognized in “Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers” and professionally he is an active member of the ACSM, NSCA, CSCCa, and TAHPERD . He serves on the Written Examination Committee of the CSCCa .

His areas of research interest include exercise testing, and training for optimization of health and human performance, sport performance, and teaching and learning in exercise and sport science.
