Hardin-Simmons University proudly announces the 133 students who have earned a place on the Dean’s List for the fall 2025 semester. These students have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and a commitment to excellence.
To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must complete 12 or more semester credits and earn a grade point average of 3.75 to 3.99 for the semester.

Hardin-Simmons University to Confer Honorary Doctor of Laws on Jane Varner Beard
December 15, 2025Hardin-Simmons University is proud to announce that Jane Varner Beard, accomplished attorney, philanthropic leader, and lifelong advocate for community advancement, will receive the honorary Doctor of Laws degree during the 2 p.m. Winter Commencement ceremony to be held on Monday, Dec. 15, at the Abilene Convention Center.
