Math & Science Back-to-School Picnic
On Friday, September 1, 2023, the Holland School of Science and Mathematics hosted a back-to-school picnic outside the Newman-Richardson Science Center. Over a tasty lunch, students had the opportunity to win prizes by answering trivia questions about Hardin-Simmons University.
This event created an avenue for the students to interact, socialize, and get to know each other. Sophomore biology major Kaitlyn Beutel, an attendee, shared that she looks forward to meeting new people and making new memories this semester. “It has been so fun being back on campus with my friends again, and I can’t wait to make so many more memories as the year goes on,” she shared.
After the picnic, the students moved inside the building to listen to Dr. Bill Morgan, a 1973 graduate, share his experiences on his path to becoming a surgeon.
