Miss Latrice Wilson serves as the treasurer for Hardin-Simmons University’s club, Proven. She joined the organization in her sophomore year because she was interested in getting to know more people. Ever since Latrice has loved this group. “I love Proven mainly because of how open and accepting the group is,” she shared in a recent interview.

To express her love for the group, she decided to take up a lead role as the Treasurer of this organization. Her main responsibility includes making budgets and keeping track of the club’s expenditures.

In honor of Black History Month, HSU Proven has organized several events to celebrate Black excellence. Out of all the events, Latrice looks forward to the Black is Everything Dinner on February 29. “Through this event, we hope to showcase important people to the HSU community who we look up to and strive to achieve similar excellence,” she explained.

Latrice intends to graduate in the spring of 2025. As a computer science major and psychology minor, she hopes to use her degree to help those around her by becoming a software programmer. Come say hi to Latrice at proven events this month!
