Hardin-Simmons University dedicates a week annually to celebrating international students. Throughout the week, the International Student’s Fellowship (ISF) organizes events to share various cultures with the HSU community. This year, the group invites everyone to celebrate the diversity and beauty of their cultures.

The theme of this year’s International Week is “Our Roots.”

Celebrations begin on Tuesday, February 27, at 9:30 a.m. in Logsdon Chapel. Tuesday’s chapel will feature ISF through message and include the traditional flag parade highlighting the countries represented at HSU.

Wednesday, February 28, over lunch, the Caf will prepare and serve various international dishes. It will be a delicious experience that you do not want to miss!

World of Wonder is Wednesday, February 28, at 7:00 p.m. ISF will collaborate with HSU SABERS this year to produce the talent show. From singing to a fashion show, it promises to be an entertaining night. Located in Moody 233, this event aims to showcase the beauty of cultures through entertainment. Refreshments will be provided.

Night of Worship is Friday, March 1, at 7:00 p.m. in Logsdon Chapel. This event provides an opportunity to worship God through songs in different languages. The purpose of this night is to show that even though we all come from various cultural backgrounds and speak other languages, we are all one in the eyes of God. (Students, chapel credits will also be offered during this event.)

No matter your level of experience in soccer, there is room for you if you want to participate or watch the game.

To wrap up International Week, the highly anticipated Taste of the World will take place Tuesday, March 5, at 7:00 p.m. in the Johnson Building. Always a popular event, the evening celebrates cultural diversity through various dishes from different parts of the world. The event is free and open to every member of the HSU community.
