HSU Homecoming Preview

Homecoming is fast approaching, and HSU is ready to celebrate the festivities once again. If you haven’t registered yet, there will be an opportunity in person on February 12th from 12:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 13th from 7:30 – 11:30 a.m. in Moody Center.

There are plenty of events for all, including some of the main events highlighted here.

 

For Alumni:

Thursday, February 11th

Alumni Awards Banquet

The banquet will honor the recipients of the 2020 Keeter Alumni Service Award and Distinguished Alumni Awards.

 

Friday, February 12th

All-School Sing

Athletics Hall of Fame

 

Saturday, February 13th

Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders Reception

All future and former program graduates can visit for coffee and pastries.

Coffee Hour for the Holland School of Sciences and Mathematics

Faculty, current students, prospects, and alumni gather to share about the school over coffee.

Student Organization Gatherings

Alumni can catch up with current members of social organizations.

Alumni and friends can join together with the HSU Hispanic Assemble for conversation and fellowship.

For Current Students:

Friday, February 12th

Friday Night Festival

Join HSU on Sid Rich Lawn for food trucks, yard games, live music, and more.

Pep Rally and Fireworks

The HSU Cheerleaders, Cowboy Band, Spurs, and Hoss will gather the crowd before a firework show begins. The Homecoming Court will also be presented.

Late Night Breakfast

HSU Police will be serving purple pancakes.

BBQ Tailgate and Sporting Events

Students can eat free with their ID. The sporting events will begin with the homecoming football game, where the Cowboys will face the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets. The men’s and women’s tennis teams play against Schreiner at 2 p.m and the women’s basketball team will play Howard Payne at 4 pm followed by the men’s team at 6 p.m.

All-School SING

 

For Prospective Students:

Prospective Students can experience the festivities during the Prospective Student Preview on Saturday, starting in the Welcome Center and ending with the HSU football game.

 

For Parents:

Parents will be able to experience SING as well as athletic events and are invited to attend a Parents-Only breakfast on Saturday.

 

For Kids:

HSU Kids Club will be held on Saturday. There will many activities including: crafts and yard games, white horse rides, and meet and greets with the HSU spurs, cheerleaders, and Hoss. Before the football game, kids may participate in the Fletcher Fitness Center Kids Zone, where they can play on the indoor soccer field.

 

Sunday, February 14th

HSU Family Worship. All are invited to join in a time of refreshment, reflection, music, and inspiration presented by HSU family members.
