Hardin-Simmons University Invites Community to Prayer Walk

August 5, 2025

Hardin-Simmons University invites the Big Country community, HSU alumni, and supporters everywhere to participate in the second annual Prayer Walk on Thursday, Aug. 14, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Logsdon Chapel.

The event will begin with a time of group prayer at the chapel before participants disperse across campus to pray over each building. The Prayer Walk aims to spiritually prepare the university for the upcoming academic year by lifting up the students, faculty, and staff who will occupy these spaces.

“As we begin the Fall semester and welcome new freshmen and transfers to HSU, we invite you to join us in praying for our faculty, staff, and students,” said Eric Bruntmyer, president of Hardin-Simmons University. “Whether in person, at home, or with your home church, I hope you’ll partner with us in prayer for another year of God’s mercy and grace.”

The Prayer Walk reflects Hardin-Simmons University’s commitment to its Christian mission and tradition of faith-centered education. All are welcome to participate in this new tradition, both on campus and from afar.
