Hardin-Simmons Students Lead Campus-Wide Revival “Revive25”

April 14, 2025

Hardin-Simmons University’s Baptist Student Ministry (BSM) will host Revive25, a three-day, student-led event April 14–16 focused on uniting the campus community around Christ through worship, prayer, and spiritual renewal.

The heart of Revive25 is 24 continuous hours of prayer—beginning Monday, April 14, at 8:00 p.m.—paired with three consecutive nights of worship services. The final night will conclude with baptisms, symbolizing the lasting impact of God’s work on campus.

Joel Williams, a junior Christian studies major and BSM intern, said the event builds on the foundation of Andy24, a previous 24-hour prayer vigil held on Anderson Lawn. This year’s gathering continues that tradition while adding dedicated worship services and preaching.

“I had been praying for God to bring revival to HSU,” Williams said. “Thanks to the leadership of Roger Jackson and the collaboration of other students serving in the BSM, God answered that prayer, and Revive25 came to life.”

Williams encourages participation across campus, calling the event a rare opportunity to pause from life’s distractions and draw near to God.

“I pray that this event will be a time for everyone—students, faculty, and staff—to make commitments to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It’s a chance to bring every burden to Him and find true peace and rest,” he said.

The BSM exists to minister to the spiritual needs of HSU students and to equip them for ministry in their daily lives.

“Any campus and university can host events, but the fact that HSU allows us to not only host this event but also provides such abundant support for something focused solely on Jesus Christ is unique,” Williams added.
