(Abilene, TX)– Exciting things are happening at Hardin-Simmons University this fall. The new freshmen have already begun to make an impact on campus, with their excitement and their hilarious activities, they are already putting their stamp on the HSU legacy.

HSU’s total enrollment climbed to 2,344 students in fall 2018.  The new freshman class for fall 2018 is 484 students, with a total of 585 freshmen on campus.

“From the time I’ve already spent with our first-time freshman, they have clearly demonstrated how amazing they are,” says President Eric Bruntmyer. “Not only are they one of the largest classes HSU has welcomed, they have already distinguished themselves as thoroughly engaged – in the classroom, on the field, and in the community. Our newest class of students is nothing but first class – and the future of our Cowboy Family is bright!”

“Our new students bring an energy and excitement to campus and this year was no exception. College is about much more than just coursework. They will encounter new ideas and challenges.  We are honored to be a partner on their educational journey –  both inside and outside the classroom. I am grateful to all our faculty and staff for their collective efforts in recruiting quality students to HSU,” says Vicki House, Vice President for Enrollment Management.

Help us to welcome the amazing class of 2022!
