1. THROW A COWBOY THEMED CELEBRATION PARTY

There’s no better way to kick off your cowboy experience than by throwing a party celebrating new beginnings!

Show off HSU’s trademark purple and gold while eating West Texas staples such as BBQ or our signature Tex-Mex.

2. ANNOUNCE IT IN STYLE

Tag @hsutx in a social media post with your newly gifted merch from our acceptance care package, and don’t forget to submit your enrollment deposit to get even more HSU swag! Also, stop by our campus bookstore in person or online to grab even more gear and show off that Cowboy pride!

3. COME EXPLORE THE KEY CITY

Stop by campus and visit Gilbert the Goose before heading Downtown to explore our Culture and SoDA District. Finally, don’t forget to stop by the Allen Ridge “Lifestyle Village” to grab a bite to eat and do some shopping before heading back home.

4. CREATE A COLLEGE COUNTDOWN

Make a fun cowboy-themed calendar that counts down the days until you move in! Or create a bucket list of final things to accomplish before moving away from your hometown.

5. GIVE BACK TO YOUR COMMUNITY

Don’t forget to let your supporters know how much they are appreciated by writing thank you letters to teachers and family. You can also give back to your community by donating old clothes and school supplies to younger students.
