The World Famous Cowboy Band will be performing at the 87th Texas Cowboy Reunion in Stamford, Texas on June 28 through July 1. The band will perform each night from approximately 7:45 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The Cowboy Band has participated in this event since the mid-1930s, and they have performed for 80 Cowboy Reunions since then. The Cowboy Reunion is the world’s largest amateur rodeo.

The performers for this year will include previous Cowboy Band members, current members, special guests, friends, and new members.

Dr. Wayne Dorothy, an HSU Professor of Music and Director of Bands, believes that this event is a great opportunity for past and present band members to connect with each other.

“It is always fun for the members to meet each other for the first time. It’s a great chance for new and old members to get to connect over music,” said Dorothy.

At the event, the band will continue to impress their audience with their colorful western attire and energetic performances.

“This event has become a long-standing tradition for the Band. With the cooperative effort from all of the members, this will be a fun performance,” said Dorothy.
