Upcoming HSU Advancement Events

Hardin-Simmons University’s Advancement Team hosts year-round events to keep alumni and friends connected and engaged with the 40-Acres. From award ceremonies and thank-you events to board meetings and lecture series, each event provides special opportunities for alumni and friends to experience the ongoing impact of our shared mission.

  • Board of Development and President’s Council Meetings
    • Members of the Board of Development and President’s Council gather, respectively, each fall around homecoming (on campus) and spring (virtually) to receive university updates and discuss opportunities to support the mission of Hardin-Simmons through recruiting and philanthropy.
  •  Donor & Recipient Scholarship Luncheon
    • Endowed scholarship donors and student recipients are invited during the spring semester for this on-campus luncheon. The event provides a meaningful opportunity for donors and students to connect and celebrate the life-changing impact of scholarship support.
  • Estate Planning Workshops
    • The HSU community is invited to participate in these informative estate planning workshops. Each session features knowledgeable professionals who provide helpful guidance for planning a legacy that supports family and faith.
  • Groundbreakings and Dedication Ceremonies
    • The HSU community is invited to celebrate important campus milestones through these special ceremonies. Held on campus, these gatherings mark the beginning or completion of new or updated facilities and recognize the generosity and vision that make continued growth at Hardin-Simmons possible.
  •  Hall of Leaders Induction Ceremony
    • Established in 2001, the Hardin-Simmons University Hall of Leaders provides for permanent recognition of graduates, former students, and former employees who have distinguished records of achievement and proven themselves as men and women of good character. Alumni, friends, and members of the Hardin-Simmons community are invited to this annual ceremony.
  •  Leadership Summit
    • Members of Engagement and Advancement boards—including the President’s Council, Board of Development, Alumni Association Board, and Board of Young Associates—gather for this combined summit, which includes presentations and updates by university leadership.
  •  Pre-Game Receptions
    • HSU donors and friends are invited to gather in the Fletcher Fitness Center during home football games. These receptions offer light refreshments and an opportunity to cheer on the Cowboys while connecting with friends.
  •  President’s Club Dinner with the John G. Hardin Society
    • Members of the President’s Club and the John G. Hardin Society are invited to this special dinner in recognition of their generous support of Hardin-Simmons University. Held on campus each fall, the gathering offers a time of fellowship with university leadership and celebration of faithful stewardship.
