Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Fitness Center to Take Place Thursday

(Abilene, Texas)  HSU will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Fitness Center on Thursday at noon near the side entrance of Mabee Complex.
 
Faculty, staff, alumni, current students, and members of the HSU family are invited to attend to help celebrate this exciting new development on campus.  

The HSU Board of Trustees and other HSU officials will be present for the groundbreaking ceremony.   

The new fitness center will be 33,600 square feet and include basketball and volleyball courts, a cardio/fitness area, multi-purpose fitness area, weights area, and a multi-use athletic court. Other features of the center include new locker rooms, a conference room, and additional office space. The building is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.
