CORRECTIONS:
The following mistakes were made in the Fall/Winter 2017 publication. We apologize for these errors:
Richard David Dean ’67 was mistakenly identified as “the first African-American graduate” of HSU, on
page 11. While he was one of the first, he was not the first. The university does not have demographic
information on older students. We know that Henry Peacock and Harry Ervin both graduated from
HSU in 1965. There might have been other students earlier than the mid-1960’s, the university cannot
verify this information with confidence.
We misidentified a baby in our “Welcome to the Family” section. Photo # 2 should say, Greyson Kim
Revell, son of
Sam Revell '12BA and Callie (Rankin) Revell '12BA
, 6/16/2017. Grandparents include
Rob Rankin '99M
, Julie Rankin and Ron Revell. Great-Grandparents are retired HSU professor Taylor
Rankin and his wife, Elizabeth. Dallas;
Callie.Revell@gmail.comOn page 37 in photo #3 we incorrectly identified Eleanor Davis as Wanda Baker.
We failed to recognize Reed Ambrose '19M as a contributor. We apologize for the oversight.
