Many of the international students who study in
Logsdon plan to return to their home countries
to spread the gospel, if they can. Others, such as
the refugee students, plan to minister from their
unique perspective here in the United States.
Second, the Bible tells God’s people to welcome
the “foreigner.”
Dr. Robert Ellis, dean of Logsdon Seminary, said
he has noticed in several of his classes, such as Old
Testament, the refugees enrich the classroom for
all students.
“They are bringing their experiences, so we
can think about the exile in the Old Testament,
through the eyes of refugees, who have themselves
been exiled,” he said.
