Objectives -

The primary objectives of the

Department of Sociology are (1) to give the

student a basic understanding of human

interaction, social group relationships, and

societal systems; (2) to prepare students for the

profession of sociology; and (3) to assist in the

preparation of students who are planning to enter

careers such as criminal justice, social work,

psychology, church-related vocations, speech

pathology, communication, counseling, law,

teaching, and recreation.
