GOING ONLINE HSU OFFERS THREE NEW ONLINE PROGRAMS I NLI E or Courtney Hall, finding HSU’s online program was “a total God thing.” After graduating from Azusa Pacific University, she had no idea what her next step might be. One night, when she was trying to fall asleep, she heard God say “Texas.” She began looking for sports ministry graduate programs in Texas and found Hardin-Simmons’ new online Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation (KSPR) degree. “I applied out of obedience, was accepted, and then left everything I knew in California to follow His next steps for me,” said Hall. The online program’s flexibility allows Hall to work as HSU’s Coordinator of Student Activities, visit family, and volunteer with sports ministry camps. The KSPR program is one of three new programs Hardin-Simmons is offering completely online to bring students high quality education in a convenient format. Though the classes are not in person, HSU professors are still committed to connecting with their students by investing in both their academic and spiritual development. HSU currently offers online bachelors and masters degrees in Nursing in conjunction with Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing. This year the Department of Online Education has added a Master of Business Administration, a Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, and the KSPR program.
