Sharing the HSU Story with a New Video Board and Production Truck For many, there is nothing better than coming to Shelton Stadium on a Saturday afternoon and cheering the Cowboy football team to victory. Now, this enjoyment has been boosted even further with the new additions of a video board and production truck to create the ultimate fan experience. The creation of the video board and idea for the production truck came from donors, including: Phil and Cathy Ashby, Justin and Lyndee Furnace, Norm and Shirley Grimmett, John and Melissa Neese, Jud Powell, Rosa Lee Prichard, Jack and Becky Rentz, Brett and Jill Teague, Mike and Kathy Waters, and Jim and Jessie Whitlock. The functions of the truck and board are operated by a team of staff members, student workers, and experienced volunteers. The production truck sends data to the video board using a fiber optic cable transmitting at the speed of light, allowing the board to show instant replays in less than a second after live action. The board also displays messages to the fans and captures the best camera angles. The truck’s main function is high- quality broadcasting virtually anywhere with an internet connection.
