Detective Christopher Milliorn ’07BBS , son of Melissa Milliorn ’93BBS , head of HSU Social Work, of the Abilene Police Department was in a serious car accident on August 6, 2017 near Clyde,along with Detective Bobby Collins ’04BA (son of HSU faculty member Dr. Renee and Bob BBS ’10 Collins , brother to Shannon (Collins) Maynard ), and Detective Elise Ybarra, who was killed in the accident. Milliorn and Collins were on extended medical leave while physically recovering from their injuries as a result of the accident. HSU surrounded these families with great love, prayer, and support during this very difficult time. Both families express their gratitude for all of the calls, visits, messages, meals, and physical assistance, but especially for the prayers and love received. 7 8 ALUMNI
