• Go Green Sustainability Committee

The Go Green Committee functions in an advisory capacity to coordinate university efforts focused on stewardship of resources at Hardin-Simmons University. The committee makes recommendations to the senior administration concerning efforts to conserve and recycle resources, promotes awareness of the need to conserve natural resources among students, faculty, and staff, and coordinates activities designed to enhance the footprint of the university in areas of conservation. The committee serves as a liaison to the staff and administration personnel who have primary responsibility for the implementation of university policy. The committee is selected by the Committee on Committees and consists of 6-8 members with at least three faculty, two staff, and one student appointed by the Provost. The Human Resource Director is a permanent member of the committee. The chair is designated by the Provost. Faculty members service three-year terms and may not serve more than two consecutive terms. Student members will be rotated every two years. Staff and ex officio members will be rotated as designated by their supervisors.
