• Housing Agreement/Fees

    Highlights of the Housing Agreement - The Housing Agreement is 1 year (two academic semesters) contract between you and the Residence Life Office.

    • All undergraduate students taking more than six semester hours are required to live on-campus. Exceptions are made for students 21-years old or over, Married, Living with Parents within 30 minutes of campus, or have completed four long semesters in residence at Hardin-Simmons.
    • It is crucial that you read the Housing Agreement in its entirety, and understand it fully. The Residence Life staff is available to answer any and all questions that you might have.
    • Failure to check in or check out properly could result in a fine. At the end of the semester, you must leave the residence halls within 24 hours of your last final examination.
    • Any and all room assignment changes must be discussed with, and approved by, your Residence Director prior to any changes being made.
    • The residence halls at HSU are reserved for HSU students only. Guests are welcome, but are permitted for limited amounts of time only.
    • Upon moving into the residence halls students will be asked to complete a room inventory in order to attest to the condition of the room. Students are highly encouraged to participate in this inventory process.

  • The state requires that all incoming new students under the age of 22 must have the meningitis vaccine within the last 5 years and at least 10 days prior to the first day of class. In addition, Hardin-Simmons University requires every new incoming student under 22 years of age provide proof of the meningitis vaccine prior to registering for classes.
