For the fourth year, Hardin-Simmons University and HSU’s Logsdon Seminary are partnering with The Willow Creek Association to serve as a premiere host site for The Global Leadership Summit – a live satellite-broadcast leadership conference designed to transform Christian leaders around the world with an injection of vision, skill development, and inspiration for the sake of the local church. HSU is one of only 19 locations in Texas for the conference drawing more than 150,000 participants in the US alone. HSU will host the Summit on August 14-15, 2014 in the Behrens Auditorium.
In addition to nurturing leadership, the two-day conference also offers participants an opportunity to reflect on the impact of leaders as agents of transformation in a hurting world. More than an annual training event, The Global Leadership Summit represents leaders from an amazing diversity of cultures, denominations, and spheres of influence that come together to leverage leadership toward solutions for some of society’s greatest challenges. Last year, more than 120 Abilene-area leaders participated in this event.
Special rates are available for groups and individuals before June 28. Additionally, HSU is providing a limited number of scholarships for the event to underresourced non-profit leaders and ministers in the Abilene area. As a premiere host site, HSU has secured deeply discounted rates for HSU and Logsdon Seminary alumni, faculty, staff, students, and board members (a special code is available via the office below).
