Michael Monhollon, professor of business law and Kelley Chair of Business, serves as dean of the Kelley College of Business at HSU. Before moving into academia, he practiced law for a dozen years, first in Amarillo, Texas, then Richmond, Virginia, and finally in Dallas. In between law and academia, he was the editor of Reflection Publishing, a small family-owned publisher of Christian books that put out eight books in two years.
Eleven of his own books have been published. Penguin USA published his first in 1992, styling it as “the most shocking thriller since The Firm.” His second novel, Divine Invasion, was a fictional biography of Jesus Christ that sold more than a thousand hardcovers to libraries around the country on the strength of its critical reviews. Booklist, the trade journal of the American Library Association, named it one of the top 10 Christian novels of the year. Seven of his books are courtroom mysteries featuring the intrepid Robin Starling, a modern Perry Mason in high heels.
