Dr. Dara Brown, assistant professor of counseling and human development, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 2008. Dr. Brown completed her Master of Arts in mental health counseling from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 2012 and earned a Doctor of Philosophy in counselor education and supervision from Texas Tech University in 2016 with a specialization in forensic counseling. Dr. Brown is a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider in Texas. Dr. Brown is an active member of the Texas Counseling Association and the West Texas Counseling Association. Her research interests include offending behavior and incarceration, recidivism, intimate partner violence, suicide, and mental health.
