Teresa Ellis


Teresa Ellis, theological librarian for Hardin-Simmons University and for Logsdon School of Theology and Seminary and associate professor, is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas, where she earned the Bachelor of Science degree with a major in political science.

Ellis also completed two graduate degrees, first a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, and later a Master of Science in library science from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.

Prior to coming to HSU, Ellis served as assistant director of student financial aid at the University of Central Arkansas and as the director of international student services at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She has participated in mission projects in Mexico, Mississippi and South Africa. She is a member of The American Theological Library Association and the Association of Librarians and Archivists at Baptist Institutions.
