    Admission Requirements

    Freshmen Admission
Regular admission will be offered to students submitting a minimum ACT score of 20, or a minimum SAT score (Math and Verbal) of 940 (1390 with writing), or high school transcript indicating a class rank of top 25%. HSU will no longer require the writing portion of either ACT or SAT. The new SAT test will start in March 2016. The new test will include Math and Verbal subtests only, as Writing will no longer be an option. As a result, the maximum SAT score will be 1600 (800 Math, 800 Verbal). HSU will continue to evaluate scoring from the old tests as well as the new.

    Transfer Admission
Regular admission will be offered to transfer students submitting a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 from all colleges and universities attended.
Transfers with fewer than 24 transferrable credit hours must submit high school credentials (high school transcript and ACT or SAT score) in addition to college transcripts.
