Spring Graduation Spotlight: Kaylin Bouse

May 11, 2023 Charis Ochu

Kaylin Bouse, a native of Howe, Texas, enrolled at Hardin-Simmons University because she wanted to attend a school where her education would be enlightened by faith. She will graduate on Friday with a major in social work and an honors minor.

Kaylin was very involved on campus during her time at HSU. She was an active member of the Baptist Student Ministry, the social club AIO, the Social Work Club, Sigma Beta, and Hunters, Gatherers, and Travelers Club. She recently received the 2023 Social Work Student of the Year Award for West-Central Texas.

Kaylin would like to thank Dr. Melissa Milliorn and Dr. Lauren Cantrell for providing mentorship throughout her college years. “I would not be where I am today without their guidance and dedication to my future profession.”

Her Favorite Bible verse is Romans 12:2, which says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind….”

Her advice to every student at HSU is “live it up and enjoy your time in college. These four years fly by, so do not take this time for granted.”

Congratulations Kaylin!
