Finances are a concern for a lot of students and families. Tell us about the impact the scholarship has had on you.

The scholarships I have received are an immense help for me to continue into the field of Media. They have also given me a confidence that I am cared for and that God has been with me on my journey without leaving my side. These scholarships encourage me to continue my education in the field of Media where I want to influence the world for Christ.

What has been your favorite study spot on campus?

My favorite spot on campus has to be the courtyard of the library! It is relaxing to be able to feel the warmth of the afternoon sun, as well as the small breeze, while studying. It gets me through when I am struggling to get things done or to understand some subjects. The courtyard has had a big impact on me while I have been here at HSU, because not only helps me get my work done, but it is also a great place to be with friends!

How has HSU impacted you?

HSU has impacted me so much and I cannot be more happy about being here! The greatest impact has been through my spiritual journey with Christ. HSU has taught me much about the Lord, myself, and who I desire to become.

How has your degree program helped prepare you for your future calling?

The Strategic Communications program that I am in has helped me with training, experience, and connections in the Media field. I desire to work in film and video, multimedia, and social media platforms! The program that I am in has helped me learn and grow, and has given me hands-on learning in the career I want to be in.

What has your student experience been like at HSU?

My experience at HSU has been amazing! I have learned that friendship, family and values are vital in life. I have learned that every day is a new adventure, with something new to learn along the way.
