Health Sciences Summer Enrichment Program

Thank you for your interest in our Health Sciences Summer Enrichment program (HSSEP) at HSU. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic our campus will be not be hosting in person classes through June during the scheduled timeframe of HSSEP. Therefore, for the safety of all participants, faculty, and staff, we have made the decision to cancel HSSEP at HSU for 2020.

Once again, we regret that we will not get to spend this summer with each of you. We hope that you will consider applying next year for HSSEP 2021 if you are still eligible. We appreciate your understanding.

This two-week Health Sciences Summer Enrichment Program (HSSEP) at Hardin-Simmons University (HSU) offers an opportunity for high school students (grades 10-12 at the time of application) who are interested in the health sciences to strengthen their skills in science and mathematics in a college environment.

The program aims to build confidence in students’ ability to master science skills at the college level and to expose students to a variety of healthcare career options. HSSEP at HSU consists of a combination of college lectures, engaging labs, and interactive sessions with healthcare professionals and their workplaces.
