Homecoming Weekend Features 125th Anniversary Focus, Oct. 14-16

(Abilene, TX) Please mark your calendars for Hardin-Simmons University ‘s Homecoming Weekend scheduled for October 14-16. The 2016 HSU Alumni Association Board of Directors has planned a fun-filled jam-packed weekend to celebrate the University’s 125th Anniversary. The event also welcomes new HSU President, Eric Bruntmyer. The special 125 anniversary events include:

• Alumni-Led Worship Celebration Service – Sunday
• Alumni Oral-History Interviews – Saturday
• HSU Anniversary Celebration Lunch – Saturday
• Class Reunion Celebration Activities
• Special Appearances by the President and First Family – Saturday & Sunday

  Other events include:

• Celebration Meld with HSU’s Social/Service Clubs – Saturday
• Alumni/Professor Book/CD/DVD signing – Saturday
•  “His Most Un-Baptistic Name: Dam-It at 100” talk by Dr. John Davis about the University’s first mascot – Saturday
• All School Sing featuring student musical competition
