Hardin-Simmons Signs Articulation Agreement with Hill College

(Abilene, Texas) – Hardin-Simmons University signed an articulation agreement with Hill College in Hillsboro on September 19, outlining a transfer option between the two schools. This agreement simplifies the process for students enrolled in community college to continue their education at a four-year university.

Dr. Laura Pogue, Dean of General Education, has orchestrated several similar agreements with other academic institutions.

“Hardin-Simmons University is thrilled to partner with Hill College and provide a clear pathway for Hill students to transition to their four-year degree at HSU,” said Dr. Pogue. “Hill College students are used to a high level of service and personal interaction, and HSU is known for exactly that, so we are excited to open our doors to any Hill student who’s ready to take the next step.”

The agreement is effective Fall 2017 providing Hill College students with a clear course comparisons and HSU admissions counselors who will help them apply for admission and scholarships.

Hill College President Dr. Pam Boehm said, “Partnering with Hardin-Simmons provides Hill College students the opportunity to seamlessly transfer to a university to continue in their educational journey.”

Hardin-Simmons will accept up to 66 hours of course work from Hill College. Thirty-seven hours of general education courses have been listed as transfer equivalents in the agreement, including courses in writing, communication, literature, fine arts, math, technology, science, and social science.
