HSU University Relations Team Wins Top Awards

University Relations team recognized in many categories

The 2016 Abilene American Advertising Federation ADDY awards were held in February at the Abilene Country Club and the Hardin-Simmons University Relations team walked away with awards in each category they entered.   

The ADDY awards is the world’s largest advertising competition with over 5 million entries annually.  The Hardin-Simmons UR team received three gold, two silver, and three bronze awards.

“The creative talents of our team are exceptional, and I’m thrilled to to see their hard work recognized again by this professional organization,” said James Stone, HSU’s Executive Director of University Relations.

The awards are as follows:

Range Rider, Spring/Summer 2015 – GOLD (Elements of Advertising, Visual, Illustration – Single)

Range Rider, Spring/Summer 2015 – GOLD (Sales & Marketing, Collateral Material, Publication Design, Magazine Design)

Gilbert’s Coffee Shop – BRONZE (Elements of Advertising, Visual, Logo Design)

“Greetings From Abilene” Freshman Recruiting Piece – BRONZE (Direct Marketing, Flat – Single)

Merry Christmas – SILVER (Branded Content & Entertainment, Branded Content & Entertainment for Online Film, Video & Sound, Single Entry: 60 seconds or less)

Gen. Ed. Faculty Spotlight, Dr. Patrick Miller – BRONZE (Film, Video & Sound, Sales Promotion, Audio Visual Sales Presentation)

Presidential Prospectus – SILVER (Sales & Marketing, Collateral Material Brochure, Single Unit)

DirectFest Poster – GOLD (Elements of Advertising, Visual, Illustration, Illustration – Single)

The UR team will advance to the district level in its Gold award categories and hopes to compete on the National level.
